SEO (or search engine optimization) is not as easy as it used to be back in the 1990’s. As a matter of fact, there are many who say that “SEO is dead” in light of Google’s many algorithm implementations. While many of the old methods such as keyword stuffing, link farms and hidden text may truly be dead and gone, high quality, relevant links are still very important. Coming up with a link building strategy for SEO that works is critical.
Guest blogging came under the microscope of Google’s Matt Cutts, who said that it would no longer be an effective way of building links in 2014. Well, it’s 2015 and guest blogging still seems to be effective as a method of link building. An excellent SEO article at Alpine Web Media goes into detail about what “does and does not work”, in terms of building links for SEO. Bottom line is that competition for visibility on the web is much more difficult these days. You need to develop a strategy to remain competitive.
A quick note about the reviews and tool links on this site: I am an affiliate for most every product I review or link to. I purchase these products and test them myself in order to create quality reviews. All my reviews are completed as honestly as possible. I make no promises to the vendor prior to writing my review as to the content of the review. Should you click a link on this site that takes you to a paid product, this link will be an affiliate link and I will be paid a percentage of the sales price should you decide to purchase that product.
